Foundation Program

This program provides a bridge between secondary school and undergraduate studies to prepare students for success at university.

Our Foundation Program is designed for international students who haven’t yet completed their high school education to the Australian Year 12 standard, or equivalent. It provides a bridge between secondary school and undergraduate studies to prepare you for entry to and success in university level studies across a broad range of study areas.

The Foundation Program is offered in a standard format, structured to be completed over two trimesters (8 months), across 4 academic streams. Academic communication skills inclusive of English language, computer skills and intercultural studies are core units that every student completes, with four further elective courses studied.

With small class sizes, our teachers provide a high level of personal attention, helping you develop the confidence and study structure for academic success. So, you’ll be able to hit the ground running when you progress to your diploma and beyond.

To check the equivalent high school qualification countries outside Australia, check the entry requirements page.

Students wishing to transfer providers are encouraged to review the Transfer of Provider policy.

Say hello to Melinda!

Melinda Villamizar is our Program Convenor for the Foundation Program.

"The Foundation Program provided far more than the academic qualifications I needed to start my diploma."

"It taught me the importance of time management and study structure - and it really helped me improve my communication and social skills too.

I love that the staff, teachers and student learning advisors are all really friendly and willing to help!"
