All our diplomas are designed to boost your academic skills while you undertake the same subjects as students in the first year of their degree.
This means you can transition into second year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or gain credit into other related degrees at Griffith University.
No ATAR needed to apply, just completion of year 12.

In addition to small, interactive classroom sessions, all Griffith College lecturers and tutors offer weekly consultation hours.
If you have questions or need support with course content, your lecturer or tutor is the best person to speak with. Consultations are held on campus and are typically available for one hour per week per class.

HOW DO I PROGRESS TO GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY?
When you apply for the Diploma of Engineering you will also indicate your choice of bachelor program.
You will receive one packaged offer for both programs, this will include any conditions or information you need to know in regards to your transition and start at Griffith University.
Once you graduate from the diploma, Griffith University will be in touch with information for your to enrol into you next bachelor courses.

WHAT WILL MY CLASSES LOOK LIKE?
Rather than big lecture halls with a couple of hundred students, you will be in small classes of about 30
.At university, your study is broken into lectures and tutorials. Tutorials, or tutes, are not usually led by the professor that delivered the lecture, but by other teaching staff or post graduate students.
Here at Griffith College all your course content will be delivered in one “learning experience” by the same teacher for that course or subject.
I DON’T HAVE AN ATAR, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
There’s no need for an ATAR with Griffith College.
We just look to see you completed year 12, which can mean you received your Queensland Certificate of Education, completed a Certificate III or higher as part of your year 12 studies, or if you don’t meet that criteria we can look at your individual subjects studied and help you with some options.
If you are not an ATAR student you can apply directly, if you are an ATAR student you will still need to register with QTAC to receive your ATAR.
You should plan to dedicate approximately 10 hours per course per week, including joining workshops, completing reading and activities, as well as working on assignments and study.
Additional time may be required during assessment periods.
HOW LONG WILL THE DIPLOMA TAKE TO COMPLETE?
To complete the program, you must successfully complete eight courses. The duration of your studies depends on the academic load you choose:

Tafe and other private providers teach certificates through to diplomas under the Vocational Education and Training (VET) framework. They are designed to provide practical skills for employment.
Griffith College offers higher education or undergraduate diplomas that mirror the first year of a bachelor degree. With us, you are studying the same subjects as you would in the first year of the degree, so when you progress to university you will be prepared academically for the level of study.
You also get the support to learn how to be a uni student with us –how to research, study and write at a university level.
Your end rank will be higher with us than with a VET qualification.
Finally, you know exactly what credit you will gain into the degree with us, and can package an offer up to move straight in.
