CHASE YOUR CAREER GOALS

“Griffith College was such a good experience for me considering I didn’t study an ATAR when I was in high school. This was a fresh start.

There were times I felt that I didn’t understand things but my teachers were really helpful and it made it fun. I knew early on this was where I needed to be to make uni and teaching happen.”

Ashlinn, Diploma of Educational Studies Graduate

FEELING READY(ISH)? WE’RE HERE TO HELP

If you’re ready to start your next chapter – but still figuring it out – Griffith College is a great place to land. Reach out and we’ll help you build a path that works for where you’re at now.

HAVE SOME QUESTIONS? LET’S ANSWER THEM

HOW DO I PROGRESS TO GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY?

When you apply you will select both your diploma and the bachelor you want to progress into. You will receive one offer that covers both programs and includes anything you need to know or conditions related to your progression.

Once you graduate from the degree, Griffith University will be in touch with information to enrol in your bachelor. We also host information sessions to help with your transition across.

I DON’T HAVE AN ATAR, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

There’s no need for an ATAR with Griffith College. This can mean that you never studied an ATAR pathway at school, of that your ATAR wasn’t what you were expecting.

We just look to see you completed year 12, which can mean you received your Queensland Certificate of Education, completed a Certificate III or higher as part of your year 12 studies, or if you don’t meet that criteria we can look at your individual subjects studied and help you with some options.

If you are not an ATAR student you can apply directly, if you are an ATAR student you will still need to register with QTAC to receive your ATAR.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Apply directly via our application portal: StudyLink. All you will need to apply is a copy of your year 12 certificate, VET qualification or any partial university study and a copy of your passport, birth certificate, Australian citizenship certificate or your permanent Australian visa.

It will normally take two business days to receive an offer to study with the College.

WHEN CAN I START?

There are three intakes a year: March, July and October. Most programs have Trimester 1 (March) and Trimester 2 (July) intake each year.

WHAT WILL MY CLASSES LOOK LIKE?

Rather than big lecture halls with a couple of hundred students, you will be in small classes of about 30.

At university, your study is broken into lectures and tutorials. Tutorials or tutes are not usually led by the professor that delivered the lecture, but by other teaching staff or post graduate students.

Here at Griffith College all your course content will be delivered in one “learning experience” by the same teacher for that course or subject. This allows for a better ratio of students to teachers and means that there is consistency with how you’re being taught.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MY DIPLOMA?

In most cases your study can be completed in two trimesters (or 8 months). Programs that require an extra maths subject to help you understand future course content can be completed in three trimesters (12 months).

The duration of your studies will depend on the course load you wish to take. As an example to complete eight courses you can choose to study four courses each trimester for two trimesters. Or you could choose to study three in the first two and two in your third trimester, this is still considered a full time course load, so it’s just based on your preference or it may be determined by when you want to start your bachelor.

If you want to study part time, that is fine too!

I’M A BIT WORRIED ABOUT STUDYING AT UNIVERSITY, WHAT HELP IS THERE?
