Located on the edge of Toohey Forest with panoramic views of Brisbane, our Mount Gravatt campus is the original site of Griffith College (opened 1997).

Adjacent to Griffith University's Nathan campus, Mount Gravatt has more than 4,000 students. Specialising in criminal justice, education and critical social issues, this campus is all about making a positive difference.

Mount Gravatt features a world-class health and fitness hub, with a heated pool, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, fitness centre, 16-court tennis centre, a training oval, plus basketball and netball courts. Other facilities include prayer facilities and multi-faith chaplains, a recreation hall and sports field.

Less than 15-minutes’ drive from the centre of Brisbane, our Mount Gravatt campus is easily accessible by car, motorbike and public transport.

Key Features

Library and study zones

Our Mt Gravatt library spans three levels and comprises a variety of study zones. Students can access a comprehensive catalogue, computers and printing facilities. Students have exclusive access to Griffith College computer labs at Mt Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses.

Food and coffee

Grab a tasty snack to go, or catch up over coffee at the fully licensed Café M28.

Accommodation

On-campus accommodation is available, with catered single rooms in dormitory-style buildings and self-contained flats with single rooms available. Explore our on-campus college accommodation at Mt Gravatt and Nathan.

Sport and recreation

The Mt Gravatt campus offers two fantastic facilities: the Griffith University Aquatic and Fitness Centre (which encompasses both a 25m heated pool and fully equipped fitness centre) - and the Griffith University Tennis Centre.

Social Sport competitions are also played across this campus including sports such as; volleyball, netball and basketball on indoor and outdoor courts. If you are interested in playing a different sport, make sure to check out the 18 Sporting Clubs available or even one of our cultural, educational or special interests clubs and societies.

The campus is easily accessible via car, motorbike and public transport. You can also walk or cycle to the campus, with end-of-trip facilities including showers and bike racks readily available.

Getting here

You can find us at 176 Messines Ridge Road, Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122. Griffith College is located in the International Building, M14 (Reception on Level 5). 

Our Mt Gravatt campus is 10 km south of central Brisbane (less than 15-minutes’ drive from the city centre). The closest airport to Mt Gravatt is Brisbane airport.

The campus is easily accessible via car, motorbike and public transport. You can also walk or cycle to the campus, with end-of-trip facilities including showers and bike racks readily available. 

Intercampus bus

Our intercampus bus travels every 15 minutes between Nathan and Mt Gravatt campuses. The Student Guild are also trialling a free shuttle service between Nathan campus and Altandi train station.

Public transport

Public transport is managed by TransLink. The cheapest and easiest way to use light rail, bus and train services is to use a ‘Go Card’ – a rechargeable travel card that provides discounted fares.

Bus

There are a variety of Brisbane buses that service the Griffith University Busway Station at the Mount Gravatt Campus. Logan City Bus Service also operates an inter-campus bus service between Logan and Mount Gravatt campuses. Visit the Translink journey planner to plan your trip.

Train

There are a number of train stations surrounding our Mount Gravatt campus and bus routes to the university that link with these stations. The closest train station to Nathan and Mount Gravatt campus is Salisbury. This station is situated west of both campuses and is about 12 minutes by bus. Parking

Griffith campuses are Regulated Parking Areas (Griffith University Act 1998) and parking must be paid for. You can find out more about parking permits and casual parking here.
