High-performance programs

Griffith College offers a wide range of study options, most are one-year study programs that connect directly to your second year at Griffith University. If you haven’t completed high school to grade 12 or equivalent, we also offer a Foundation Program as a study option that will lead straight to your chosen study program. As an added benefit, our small class sizes and highly supportive learning environment will help you gain the confidence and study structure to take university life in your stride.

Your college pathway to Griffith University

Our university-designed, one-year diplomas are structured to provide the same amount of Credit Points as the first year’s degree study at Griffith University. A 3-year degree requires students to earn 240 Credit Points. In most cases, our diplomas are worth 80 Credit Points towards this total. That means most Griffith College students are able to progress directly to the second year of their degree at Griffith Universityˆ.

ˆ Progression requirements apply. Credit varies depending on the pathway chosen. One year of credit may not be wholly applicable to the first year of the relevant bachelor’s degree. Refer to program specific information pages.

Diploma support programs

Depending upon the level of education you’ve completed prior to applying for a diploma at Griffith College, we offer several support programs to ensure that you meet entry requirements and graduate successfully.

Bridging Subjects

For many courses at College and Griffith University, it is assumed that through your prior studies you will have achieved a minimum level of knowledge in certain subjects. If you haven’t completed these subjects, and they aren’t covered in your diploma, then you can complete them alongside your diploma studies.

Bridging Subjects

English Language Development Module

If you are an international student entering your program with the minimum English language requirement, you will benefit from 2 free and compulsory Language Development Modules (LDMs) as part of your diploma program. The LDMs enable you to develop your English language skills in a participatory learning environment, integrated within academic courses, to support overall achievement in those academic courses. You will take the modules concurrently with academic courses and they consist of two hours face-to-face instruction per week and three hours of online self-access. Successful completion of the 2 modules is required to graduate with a diploma award.

Core Maths Skills

Ensure you have the core skills of Mathematics before you move onto further maths and science study in your diploma and bachelor programs. The mathematics support modules are a free component of the diploma and compulsory unless you demonstrate maths aptitude in a diagnostic test at or before orientation. With successful completion of the diagnostic test, you may choose to pace your diploma study over two trimesters.

The thing I like best about Griffith College is the teaching staff, they are excellent! As an international student, I can understand practically everything, and that’s really good.
