ACADEMIC SUPPORT

This is finding the support you need for study success

We believe that all people, no matter their background, have the potential to excel in study when given the appropriate tools and support to do so.

For more than 25 years, Griffith College has been assisting students in their preparation for higher education, guiding them towards a successful transition into university degree programs.

Throughout this time, we have developed valuable insights into the challenges students might face during their studies, which has enabled us to tailor a comprehensive range of academic support services.

CONNECT WITH YOUR ACADEMIC SUPPORT TEAM

At Griffith College, there are three key support roles available to help you succeed academically.

STUDENT LEARNING ADVISORS

We have a fantastic team of experienced Student Learning Advisors who are always on hand to provide you with the support you might need to assist with your studies, including;

  • Assignment help or consultations
  • Developing specific academic skills
  • Creating a study structure
  • Managing changes to your study load or circumstances
  • Accessing disability support.

Current students can book a face-to-face or online appointment via the Digital Campus with one of our Student Learning Advisors.

Assignment Help

We understand that assignments can seem overwhelming, especially if you haven’t studied in a while! During a one on one appoint with a Student Learning Advisor you can get assistance with research, preparing a draft, structuring your essay and referencing.

Study Skills Workshops

To help you develop your study skills, our Student Learning Advisors run a number of information sessions and workshops throughout the trimester. Topics include time management tips, academic writing skills and skills to help with study and examination techniques. Current students can view scheduled workshops on the Digital Campus.

LECTURER CONSULTATIONS

In addition to small, interactive classroom sessions, all Griffith College lecturers and tutors offer weekly consultation hours.

If you have questions or need support with course content, your lecturer or tutor is the best person to speak with. Consultations are held on campus and are typically available for one hour per week per class.

PROGRAM CONVENORS

Your Program Convenor oversees your entire Diploma program and is a key contact for program-related guidance and support. You can reach out to them for help with:

  • Changing majors or study plans
  • Exploring career direction
  • Navigating academic challenges
  • Addressing academic integrity issues

Current students can book a face-to-face or online appointment via the Digital Campus with their Program Convenor.
